adamant
/ˈad·ə·mənt/ · adjective & noun
1.refusing to be moved from a decision or standard.
2.archaic — a stone of impenetrable hardness.
From the Greek adamas: unconquerable. The ancients used it for the hardest material they could imagine. It's also where the word diamond comes from — and it has a certain name inside it.
What this is
Adamant Dev is Adam Lawrence — a freelance software developer based in the UK.
I take on contract development work: building new software, extending existing systems, and unsticking the projects other people have walked away from. You deal with me directly — the person who writes the code is the person who answers the email.
Build
C#/.NET services, game-server mods, Discord bots and API integrations — scoped honestly, built to last longer than the invoice.
Extend
New plugins, features and integrations for frameworks and systems you already run — without breaking what already works.
Rescue
Inherited codebases, stalled projects, departed developers. Diagnosis first, then a plan you can hold me to.
How I work
About Adam
I'm a software developer who likes hard problems more than shiny ones — the plugin runtimes, IL patchers and integrations that have to keep working while everything around them changes.
Most of my work is in C# and .NET, with a long-running open-source track record in the Oxide game-modding ecosystem. When I'm not on contract work I run a homelab and automate things that arguably didn't need automating. Adamant is a one-person company by design: small enough to care about every line.
